2015 Jazz Heroes Named

Two dozen "Jazz Heroes" -- activists of positive influence on their musical communities -- have been announced today by the Jazz Journalists Association, a non-profit organization of media professionals, in collaborations with grassroots organizations and supporters in 22 U.S. cities, launching JazzApril, the annual campaign celebrating local music people and scenes during Jazz Appreciation Month, culminating in International Jazz Day. 


2015 JJA Photo of the Year Submissions Invited

Jazz photographers around the world are invited to submit a photo for consideration for the Jazz Journalists Association 2015 Jazz Photo of the Year competition.


Nominations open for 2015 JJA Jazz Awards

The process of selecting this year's winners of the annual Jazz Journalists Association awards for jazz musicianship and jazz journalism has begun. The two hundred Professional Journalist members of the JJA can submit nominations until March 18 in the following categories:
