The June 14 JJA Jazz Awards gala will be "streamcast" LIVE online! No matter where you are, you'll be able to watch the awards presentations and musical performances as they happen on Monday June 14 at City Winery in New York City. In many places outside New York, jazz fans will be gathering at satellite parties to watch together and share the celebration. The video stream, produced by IB Creative, will begin at 3:30pm EASTERN time and will be available for viewing at the Jazz Awards Site, www.jjajazzawards.org, (on June 14) and at uStream
No special equipment or programs will be needed to view the streamcast-- just go to either site and click on the video player. It will also be possible to watch the high-quality video stream on any television with a computer input, and several satellite party hosts are arranging for their guest to do just that.
Viewers at the satellites parties and elsewhere will be able to add their own reports and comments --and even their own videos-- to the gala's uStream chat page.
Not going to be at a satellite party or at your computer? You can also watch on your iPhone or iPad-- just install the uStream app.
Are you planning to watch? Please RSVP now at http://www.ustream.tv/channel/jja-2010-jazz-awards/v3
and tell your friends about the streamcast.
And please help underwrite the cost of the streamcast and future JJA new jazz media initiatives by making a donation today.
(and of course if you ARE in New York City, get your tickets for the gala now so you can be part of this pathbreaking streamcast.)
